Doula Services
Calm, continuous doula support during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period — tailored to you and your family.
How I Can Support You
Every pregnancy, birth and postnatal journey is different. My doula services are flexible and tailored to you, with space to adapt as your needs change.
I offer calm, continuous care, providing reassurance, practical help and a steady presence when it matters most.
I work alongside midwives and healthcare professionals, never replacing medical care, but helping you feel supported, informed and confident throughout your journey.
Birth Doula Support
Birth doula support is centred on preparing together and offering continuous, calm support through labour and birth.
Support typically includes:
- Antenatal visits to talk through your hopes, concerns and preferences
- Evidence-informed information to help you explore your options
- On-call availability around your due date
- Continuous emotional and practical support during labour and birth
- Reassurance and support for partners
- A postnatal follow-up visit after your baby arrives
My focus is on creating a supportive environment where you feel heard, respected and empowered, whatever direction your birth takes.
Do you replace my midwife or medical team?
No. I work alongside your midwife and healthcare professionals, offering emotional and practical support, not medical care.
What if my birth doesn’t go to plan?
Birth can be unpredictable. My role is to support you calmly and without judgement, whatever direction your birth takes.
Do you support partners too?
Yes. Supporting partners is an important part of my role, helping them feel confident and included.
When is the best time to book?
Many people book during the second trimester, but availability varies. If you’re unsure, you’re welcome to get in touch for a chat.
Postnatal Doula Support
The weeks after birth can be joyful, overwhelming, emotional — often all at once. Postnatal doula support offers practical and emotional care during this important transition.
Support may include:
- Emotional reassurance and a listening ear
- Infant feeding support (non-clinical)
- Practical help around the home
- Supporting you while you rest or shower
- Gentle guidance as you find your rhythm as a family
- Support for partners and siblings
Postnatal support is usually flexible and shaped around what feels most helpful to you on the day.
What does postnatal support look like day to day?
Support is shaped around what feels most helpful on the day — emotional reassurance, practical help, or time for you to rest.
Can you help with feeding?
I offer non-clinical feeding support and reassurance, and can help you access specialist support if needed.
Is postnatal support only for the first few weeks?
Not at all. Some families find support helpful later on, as routines change or partners return to work.
Do you support partners and siblings?
Yes. Postnatal support often involves the whole family, and I’m mindful of everyone’s needs.
Tailored & Flexible Support
Some families are looking for something more flexible — a single antenatal session, a short block of postnatal support, or a combination of services.
I’m happy to discuss:
- One-off antenatal sessions
- Short-term or introductory postnatal support
- Support tailored to your individual circumstances
If you’re unsure what would be most helpful, we can talk it through together.
I’m not sure what kind of support I need — is that okay?
Absolutely. Many families feel unsure at first. We can talk things through together and decide what might feel most helpful.
Can I book just one session?
Yes. One-off antenatal or postnatal sessions can be a helpful starting point for some families.
Do I have to decide everything upfront?
No. Support can evolve as your needs change, and we can review things as you go.
Availability & Pricing
Availability and pricing vary depending on the type of support and your location. I’m always happy to talk through current availability and answer any questions during a free, no-pressure initial chat.
